Description
The Kuru Toga Series from Uni-ball Mitsubishi has a core rotation mechanism that can automatically rotate the pencil lead as you write. The lead is twisted through a spring-loaded clutch, it works by twisting incrementally every time you lift the pencil up (i.e. during printing words, etc.). This allows a uniform wearing of the pencil lead so that it always remains as a pointed tip.
You can easily avoid the usual problem of using pencils.
1. At first the pencil has a sharp point, but after that when you continue to write the point is worn down, and your line widths are smudgy and thicker.
2. Sometimes the tip of the angled point can scratch or catch on the paper.
3. The lead is easy to break due to some positions of the tip and the angles of the tip.
By using Kuru Toga pencil, you will not have to face the above problems. You are effectively using only 50% of the lead area that you were previously using with your old mechanical pencil. Thus, a 0.3/0.5 mm Kuru Toga will write incredibly thin lines and have less breakage than a standard 0.3/0.5 mm mechanical pencil.

I’ve never bought a pencil this expensive before and it changed my life. I love the rotating feature that this pencil has because it makes the lead sharp at all times. One thing I don’t like though is the grip. It’s not rough on your skin but it’s not soft either, but it’s not to the point that it’ll give you blisters so I can live with that. The pencil itself looks very slick and professional.

This is a highly functional pencil. The half metal half plastic body gives this perfect balance. The back end fits the eraser caps that are made for the putting on wood pencils which means you don’t have to over pay for some tiny eraser replacement. The way the mechanism works makes it so the lead rotates when when the pencil is put down on paper which makes it great for writing numbers and print letters. When writing cursive the rotation mechanism doesn’t really do anything since the action that makes the lead rotate will only occur at the beginning of writing a word. Even without the lead rotation, when writing cursive this pencil still writes great. I highly recommend the Uni Kurutoga or maybe the Roulette variant of it if you think you will like that grip more.

I am an enthusiast when it comes to high grade pencils that allow users to experience an amazing time while writing, and this pencil does exactly what you would expect it to and more. Not only is it comfortable, which allows for a long period of writing, but it also mark an excellent piece of unique looking pencil that I have seen in a while. Users with a big palm need to be aware that this product is very little and might cause some discomfort when holding. Other than that, this is a good product that have lasted me for a long time, and I am expecting it to last longer as no degradation or quality deterioration has shown.

Having a tool that’s any less than the best inhibits your productivity and efficiency. Whether that tool is a truck, a saw, or a computer, your life will always be the easiest when you have the best tool. That’s how I feel about this pencil. It writes the exact same every time. The lead feeds predictably. It’s remarkably durable, having sustained almost a year of all day use in school and suffering multiple drops on its tip.
This tool is made for writing, not erasing. The eraser is very small just to fulfill the stigma of all pencils having erasers. If you want a great eraser, check out the Tombow Mono series. Once again, best tool for the job.
This pencil is amazing. If you write with pencils all day, get it.

it’s so sleek that it offers no writing grip. and because its also quite slim, it makes it uncomfortable to write with and i end up getting writers cramp right away

OK, this is the best mechanical pencil ever made.
I always thought I sucked at using mechanical pencils because the tip always snapped off. But then someone explained to me that it was because I kept writing at the same angle and the tip turned into a skinny wedge, which then got weak and snapped off.
This one doesn’t do that.
The writing on the package is all Japanese, so I’ll explain it. Every time you put the pencil down on the paper and write, it rotates the point some tiny amount. Then the next time you write a letter or word, it does it again. The effect is to round off the tip, which keeps it from breaking.
